Work you'll do

The Business Development Contractor, working in conjunction with the Deloitte team, will be responsible for participating in the market activation by conducting market research to identify the right prospects for the solution, establishing contacts, building relationships to develop and progress the pipeline, and working with the executive team in driving deal closures.


• Build trust with prospects by demonstrating that you are an expert in the industry, you understand the prospects' business.

• Create tailored presentations in support of prospective customer meetings.

• Qualify opportunities using a systematic qualification process approved by Deloitte.

• Deliver results against various targets that will be set by Deloitte.

• Participate in the engagement lifecycle from prospecting to close.

• Help to execute plan to strategically build and maintain relationships with customers to enable business success.

• Provide regular reports to management, prepare Deloitte executives for customer meetings.


• 10+ years of experience managing strategic B2B customers, executive relationships, and business development

• Experienced and conversant with digital transformation and related technologies (AI, cloud, data/analytics, automation, etc.)

• Proven ability to think analytically and strategically to assess problems and opportunities with customers

• Demonstrated success building strategic relationships with customers and driving growth

• Success selling in new business, products, solutions and/or services

• Proven ability managing multiple stakeholders toward an ideal outcome, working across a cross-functional organization, with particular focus on technology, and solutions

• Persuasive and powerful communicator, able to clearly convey complex ideas, build alignment and manage difficult conversations

Retail (preferable Grocery) Industry experience needed.
