Work you'll do

We are seeking a Cloud Architect Contractor to support the project team by designing and delivering secure, scalable networking solutions for onboarded applications. The role will focus on segmentation, hybrid connectivity, and safe delivery of network changes across GCP environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop cloud architecture strategies and plans aligned with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure, including network design, security configurations, and cloud services.
  • Build and operate GCP networking components, including VPCs, Shared VPCs, subnets, routes, firewall policies, and DNS patterns.
  • Define ingress and egress architecture, including NAT, load balancing patterns, and private access.
  • Support hybrid connectivity concepts such as VPN and Interconnect, including routing and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver network changes safely using Terraform modules and staged rollouts.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during cloud solution implementation.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies and tools to meet project needs.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices and standards for cloud security, performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and network issues using logs, flow data, and systematic triage.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong GCP networking fundamentals with experience in secure segmentation and egress control patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform-based network provisioning and blast-radius management.
  • Experience troubleshooting network issues using logs, flow data, and structured analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Python for automation or operational support.
  • Experience with centralized firewall governance.
  • Familiarity with service perimeter concepts.
  • Knowledge of WAF patterns and related security controls.
The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $63 - $68 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
