Work you'll do

A Contract System Engineer with experience in EPIC bridges (preferred) and InterSystem with ability to work on HL7 integrations inbound and outbound to Epic between all applications and 3rd parties. Experience in Azure DevOps. Responsible for mapping conversion of data e.g. new clinic/hospital onboarding

Work you’ll Do Under the Deloitte Project Team: 

  • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interfaces between hospital's Epic Bridges and various healthcare information systems utilizing InterSystems HL7 engine
  • This role will require to work on error handling in InterSystems engine and Epic Bridges (preferred)
  • Excellent documentation skills such as - Application understanding, change management etc.
  • Ability to understand Service Level Agreement (SLA) methodology and follow the same as per engagement requirements
  • Requirement gathering with the client stakeholders and IT teams
  • This resource needs to work with stakeholders and IT team to troubleshoot Epic system issues and problems related to break-fixes and other support activities
  • Resolve issues or incidents reported by end users and escalate any quality issues or risks with team leads/scrum masters/project leaders
  • This resource will also work with end-users to help communicate enhancements/improvements needed for business processes
  • This role provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization’s mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care
  • Basic knowledge of messaging formats used in healthcare integration (HL7, FHIR, EDI, CSV, XML, etc.)
  • Experience with healthcare/clinical data domains and concepts
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies

 Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience in designing, building, and managing interfaces using the InterSystems integration engine

Preferred:

  • Experience in Epic Bridges.
  • Experience in Cloud environment like Azure
  • Knowledge of development, testing, deployment, and management
  • Experience in two or more programming languages (tcl and Xlate)
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and other regulations that impact hospitals and clinics preferred

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $65 to $85 per hour.  The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
