As an Income and Franchise Tax contractor within the Multistate Tax Services group, you will provide compliance services to a core client base. You will work directly with Deloitte tax engagement teams in state taxation by working on large, complex tax projects, and have access to exceptional specialists and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Performing a technical review of corporate or partnership state tax returns and work papers with attention to multistate tax issues such as apportionment, state modifications, nexus, and unitary filings and flow through taxation.
• Performing reviews of estimated payment and withholding calculations and related filings.
• Researching state tax legislation and assisting with impact on compliance.
• Collaboration with in-house Tax team
Qualifications:
Experienced Specialist Requirements
The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $100 to $120 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
o Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
o 5+ years; experience preparing and/or reviewing state income and franchise tax returns.
Specialist Requirements
The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $70 to $100 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
o Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
o 2+ years; experience preparing and/or reviewing state income and franchise tax returns.
Preferred:
o Public Accounting experience
o Experience in OneSource, GoSystems and/or similar tax software and a strong interest in learning new technology.
o Excellent communications skills
o State Tax Analysis experience
o State Tax Planning experience
o State Tax Research experience
o Advanced Tax Technology experience
