As a Full-Stack Software Engineer Contractor, you will take a hands-on role across multiple high-visibility initiatives, designing, building, and operating modern software products end-to-end. You’ll deliver solutions that delight customers and users while driving measurable value from Deloitte’s business investments. You will bring strong engineering craftsmanship across multiple languages and frameworks, consistently delivering high-quality, outcome-focused solutions as a dependable, collaborative team member.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customer and business outcomes end-to-end, delivering lean, high-quality solutions to complex problems with measurable value.
  • Support as the technical advocate for products, ensuring feasibility, code integrity, and alignment to customer needs and business goals.
  • Contribute in requirements analysis through component/system design, development, unit testing, integrations, deployment, and ongoing production support.
  • Maintain engineering excellence across code, data, reliability, security, and operability; produce scalable, supportable, maintainable implementations that meet/exceed quality KPIs.
  • Use rapid, low-cost experimentation to validate assumptions, reduce risk, and deliver the right solution at the right time.
  • Deliver incrementally and iteratively, prioritizing action and evidence over heavy upfront planning while navigating ambiguity with a leaning-forward mindset.
  • Operate effectively in empowered cross-functional teams (product, UX/experience, delivery), balancing feasibility, viability, usability, and value in decisions.
  • Apply modern SDLC practices (Agile, DevSecOps) with automated CI/CD from code check-in to production, including automated quality and security gates.
  • Continuously learn and adopt new languages, frameworks, and approaches; create clear technical specifications that accelerate delivery and improve maintainability.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly, influence decisions with evidence-based trade-offs, and align stakeholders through compelling narratives tied to business objectives.
  • Build constructive relationships across engineering, product, and customers (as needed), driving co-creation, consensus, and shared momentum toward product goals.

Key Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline. An advanced degree (e.g., MS) is preferred but not required. Experience is the most relevant factor.
  • Strong software engineering foundation with the understanding of OOPs, data-structure, algorithms, code instrumentations, beautiful coding practices, etc. 
  • 5+ years proven experience with most of the following: Angular, React, NodeJS, Python, C#, .NET Core, SQL/NoSQL.
  • 5+ years of experience with Azure cloud-native engineering, using FaaS/PaaS/micro-services on cloud hyper-scalers
  • Strong understanding of methodologies & tools like, XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, SRE, ADO, GitHub, SonarQube, etc. to deliver high quality products rapidly.
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in AI/ML and GenAI.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to handle diverse situations, complex projects, and changing priorities, behaving with passion, empathy, and care.

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $ 100 - $ 110 per hour. The exact pay rate    will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
