As a Full Stack Developer Contractor, you will contribute hands-on across multiple high-visibility initiatives to build secure, scalable software products that delight users and drive measurable business value. You will apply strong engineering craftsmanship across the SDLC—designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting modern applications while maintaining high standards for quality, security, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver solutions that solve complex problems with measurable customer and business outcomes using high-quality, lean designs and implementations
- Act as a technical advocate for product engineering, supporting evolutionary delivery (alpha, beta, MVP) and ensuring disciplined planning, code integrity, quality, alignment to customer goals, sound architecture, and defined NFRs
- Build customer-centric solutions using rapid, low-cost experimentation; partner with customers and product teams to deliver the right solution in the right way at the right time
- Maintain a bias for action and evidence over excessive planning; navigate ambiguity to deliver lean, supportable, and maintainable solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (product management, experience, delivery, infrastructure, security) to integrate perspectives and balance feasibility, viability, usability, and value
- Apply modern engineering practices including Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and deployment strategies (Blue-Green, Canary) to reduce downtime, enable A/B testing, and improve delivery quality and flow
- Build domain knowledge quickly and translate business/user needs into executable work (sprint plans, epics/enablers, tasks, priorities) aligned to organizational goals
- Communicate technical concepts clearly; contribute to evidence-based trade-offs, evaluations, and narratives that connect technical decisions to business objectives
- Engage stakeholders across levels to support co-creation, alignment, and progress toward feasible, high-impact solutions
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred, not required)
- Strong foundation in software engineering and architecture/design (e.g., OOP/OOD, data structures/algorithms, instrumentation; ability to work with BCD, sequence/activity/state/ER/DFD diagrams)
- 10+ years of software engineering experience across modern stacks (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js, Python, Streamlit, C#, .NET Core, Go, SQL/NoSQL, unit testing frameworks)
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud-native engineering experience building FaaS/PaaS/microservices on Azure
- Strong experience with modern delivery methods and tooling (e.g., XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, SRE, Azure DevOps, GitHub, SonarQube)
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to handle complex projects, ambiguity, and changing priorities with empathy and accountability
