We are seeking an In contractor to support engineering governance for a regulated, enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform (GCP) rollout. This role will support release management, testing governance, and evidence discipline to help ensure platform and onboarding changes are deployed safely, predictably, and in an audit-ready manner. The ideal candidate will bring experience in release operations, quality controls, and cross-functional coordination across cloud, security, and application teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end release governance for GCP platform and onboarding changes, including release calendar management, change approvals, go/no-go execution, rollback criteria, and hypercare support.
- Define and enforce quality gates for infrastructure-as-code and platform changes, including test strategy, regression coverage, environment promotion rules, and peer review standards.
- Run release readiness and post-release validation activities, such as cutover checklists, smoke testing, monitoring verification, and incident triage during release windows.
- Establish standards for release documentation and evidence capture, including change records, test results, approvals, and deployment traceability aligned to control requirements.
- Coordinate dependencies across IAM, networking, security/compliance, platform engineering, and application teams; drive decision-making and escalation when needed.
- Identify recurring release defects and process gaps; support continuous improvement efforts through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and automation of checks.
- Define operational handoffs, including runbooks, support model, SLAs, and knowledge base content, to ensure production readiness.
- Support identity management activities as part of the Deloitte project team, including secure access control, IAM policy implementation, troubleshooting, compliance assessments, and documentation maintenance.
- Bring hands-on experience with GCP platform operations and onboarding, release readiness/go-live governance, testing strategy and validation for cloud or platform changes, incident triage and hypercare support, root cause analysis and continuous improvement, identity management and access control operations, and compliance-driven delivery environments.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in release management, testing governance, platform delivery, or related engineering operations roles.
- Strong experience supporting enterprise cloud programs, preferably in GCP environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of release planning, test coordination, change control, and production cutover processes.
- Experience working in regulated environments with strong audit, control, and evidence requirements.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, deployment automation, and quality gate design.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and resolve dependencies across technical teams.
- Strong documentation, communication, and operational governance skills.
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM) processes and controls is strongly preferred.
