We are seeking a GCP Platform Architect (Contractor) to support landing-zone and onboarding reference architectures across identity, network, and policy domains. This role will help support technical decisions, manage architectural exceptions, and establish consistent, secure, and scalable onboarding patterns for enterprise applications on GCP.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain reference architectures and standards for onboarding patterns, including tenancy, IAM, network segmentation, and policy controls.
- Chair and lead architecture design reviews, document decisions in ADRs, and manage exceptions using a risk-based rationale.
- Align platform architecture with security, compliance, and engineering implementation realities.
- Provide hands-on guidance for complex onboardings and help resolve cross-domain blockers.
- Partner with platform engineering, security, and application teams to drive consistent adoption of approved patterns.
- Support identity management implementations, including authentication, authorization, access control, and related operational processes.
- Troubleshoot identity management and onboarding issues and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to support compliance with security standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, platform engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
- Strong depth in GCP architecture, including IAM, networking, governance, and policy concepts.
- Proven experience with enterprise architecture governance in regulated or controlled environments.
- Experience defining and operationalizing landing zones and onboarding frameworks.
- Ability to balance security, compliance, and delivery practicality.
- Hands-on experience supporting identity management solutions and access control processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DevOps and SRE operating models.
- Familiarity with Vertex AI and platform enablement for AI/ML workloads.
- Exposure to large-scale onboarding, shared services, and multi-team governance models.
The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $63 - $68 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
