We are seeking an experienced Industry SME Contractor with deep expertise in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) market and prior competitive bidding experience. This individual should bring strong strategic pricing expertise, a solid understanding of competitive market behavior, and the ability to advise on effective CMS engagement strategies.

The contractor will provide subject matter expertise to support project objectives, inform strategic decisions, and help shape recommendations related to pricing, bidding, reimbursement, and market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide DME industry expertise to support project objectives and client needs.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of industry trends, competitive dynamics, reimbursement considerations, and market opportunities.
  • Analyze how competitors may approach pricing and bidding strategies and provide actionable insights.
  • Advise on pricing strategy, bid positioning, and effective approaches for engaging with CMS.
  • Develop reports, presentations, and recommendations tailored to industry-specific issues and client priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure industry best practices are reflected in project deliverables.
  • Support the development of strategic plans and solution approaches aligned to business objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in client meetings and workshops, addressing industry-related questions with practical, experience-based guidance.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) industry.
  • Proven experience supporting or participating in competitive bid environments.
  • Strong expertise in strategic pricing, including the ability to anticipate competitor pricing behavior.
  • Experience working with or advising on CMS engagement and related market considerations.
  • Ability to translate industry knowledge into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing client-ready reports and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience advising clients on reimbursement, market access, or bid strategy within the DME space.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a consulting or project-based environment.
  • Demonstrated strength in presenting findings and recommendations in client meetings and workshops.

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $350 - $360 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
