As an Industry SME Contractor, you will serve as Deloitte’s national Data Center Evangelist, leveraging your deep subject-matter expertise to provide insights and guidance that shape Deloitte’s approach to modern data center challenges and client strategies across the public sector. This role emphasizes the contribution of thought leadership, technical expertise, and high-level communication to internal and client-facing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute in developing influential thought leadership content—including white papers, presentations, and technical briefs—showcasing perspectives on the evolution and future of data centers within government and enterprise markets.
  • Provide specialized expertise in modern data center architectures, including areas such as cloud integration, networking, energy management, and operational resiliency.
  • Support in representing Deloitte at industry conferences, client meetings, and public-sector forums, articulating trends, best practices, and technical concepts to CIOs, CTOs, and executive stakeholders.
  • Conduct analysis on emerging trends, regulatory shifts, and advancements in data center technology to inform Deloitte project teams and client recommendations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure that data center best practices are integrated into deliverables, supporting innovation, compliance, and client strategic objectives.
  • Translate advanced technical principles into accessible, actionable recommendations for both government and enterprise audiences.
  • Contribute to the development of future-state data center strategies and solution architectures tailored to the specific needs of government clients. 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Recognized as an expert within the data center industry, ideally with background as a Federal or State CIO/CTO, or having served as a NASCIO or NASTD President.
  • Portfolio of published thought leadership pieces, technical articles, and presentations delivered at industry events.
  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to convey complex technical topics to high-level government stakeholders and broad audiences.
  • Experience supporting the development of future-ready data center solutions for public-sector organizations.

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $400 - $410 per hour.  The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
