Work you'll do

As an Industry SME Contractor, you will apply deep expertise in electric grid modernization to support Deloitte project objectives and address client needs across the power and utilities sector. You will play a critical role in advancing grid flexibility, resilience, and sustainability by guiding the integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DER), DER Management Systems (DERMS), and advanced grid technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-depth industry and technical analysis on digital grid trends, regulatory changes, DER/DERMS integration, and grid-edge technology.
  • Contribute in developing and presenting detailed reports, presentations, and actionable strategies for utilities, regulators, technology vendors, and large commercial/industrial clients.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate DER, DERMS, and cloud-based solutions into project deliverables, leveraging experience with digitalization and modernization in the utility sector.
  • Contribute in driving initiatives focused on grid resilience, cybersecurity best practices, and large-load interconnections, working closely with technology partners and cloud infrastructure providers.
  • Contribute as an industry expert during client meetings and workshops, translating complex technical and market information into clear recommendations and solutions for diverse stakeholders.
  • Assist in strategic planning and implementation of business and technical solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring alignment with industry regulations and emerging trends.
  • Foster partnerships and collaborations across utilities, tech providers, and high-demand commercial/industrial customers to facilitate innovation and project success.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, report development, and stakeholder management skills, supported by a robust industry network.

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $285 - $290 per hour.  The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
