Client focus: Audit Events, Cross-Audit initiatives
Deloitte Services LP, a subsidiary of the Deloitte U.S. Firms, has an opportunity for an Innovation & Portfolio Strategy Manager to oversee event strategy and campaign development for the Audit practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP. This individual will work as part of a larger Audit marketing team based across the country and will report to the Senior Marketing Manager leading cross-audit initiatives. A key role will be to work with the Audit practice, marketing leadership and strategic partners to develop best-in-class marketing campaigns for our key events and oversee these campaigns, working hand-in-hand with our Green Dot Agency.
The ideal candidate will be a business-to-business marketing professional — preferably with strong experience in leading multifaceted programs with global and cross functional reach. The individual must be strategic, organized, an initiative taker, flexible, creative, and have demonstrated ability working collaboratively across a virtual team and presenting a point of view with senior executives at all levels of a matrixed organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop comprehensive marketing strategy and plans for sponsored and proprietary events with campaigns that align with audit’s strategic priorities, both virtually and in-person
• Explore and integrate new and innovative marketing approaches
• Serve as marketing advisor to key stakeholders within areas of responsibility – assist with the articulation of value propositions, develop marketing objectives in support of key priorities
• Seek opportunities to amplify campaigns through collaboration with other groups, both internal and external (e.g., key influencers and organizations)
• Manage campaign activities as required to ensure the campaign meets strategic intent (content, timing, budget issues, channel strategy, metrics)
• Monitor campaign success metrics and KPIs, adjust accordingly, and communicate with practice leadership
• Advise, plan, and manage marketing events calendar and marketing budgets for campaigns
• Encourage open and direct feedback to enable the best and most creative thinking
• Work closely with our Marketing Services organization and Campaign Managers to set, monitor, execute and achieve desired goals and outcomes
• Actively seek opportunities and lead teams to push toward a higher level of performance and effectiveness versus being satisfied with a maintenance mode of operation
• Work closely with internal specialty groups (brand, legal/procurement, compliance, risk, etc.) and remote support teams in executing events
Qualifications:
• Marketing / communications professional with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing or Communications is required – MBA a plus
• Strong knowledge of marketing, events and communications strategic practices
• Excellent written and oral communication, and superior organizational skills
• Detail-oriented, with superior project management and follow-through skills
• Team-oriented individual with proven ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, solve problems and work under tight deadlines
• Proven success in developing and executing events and marketing programs, including digital and social media, for a large business, preferably in professional or business services
• Innovative, creative, curious mindset, willing to learn about, experiment with and champion new media and channels
• Experience collaborating with teams in a professional services or large, matrix organization preferred
• Experience working independently, and comfortable working well in a virtual team environment
• Strong relationship building/relationship management skills and proven ability to interact with all levels of management
• Works well under pressure and can effectively and professionally handle tough issues
