The service you will provide the Deloitte project team as a Public Relations Contractor will include:

  • Serve as a media contact and build relationships with reporters, editors, and other media contacts.
  • Respond to requests for information from the media, analysts, and other external sources, and support proactive media outreach.
  • Work with senior leadership and industry stakeholders to support external communications activities.
  • Develop story angles and prepare written materials, including talking points, key messages, social media content, blog posts, and bylined articles.
  • Prepare spokespeople for media interviews and speaking engagements and coordinate media training when needed.
  • Coordinate activities with public relations agency resources, when applicable.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing Communications.
  • Experience working on a virtual team within a matrixed organization.
  • Experience supporting a global corporation or a professional services firm.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience developing media materials, including talking points, key messages, social media content, blog posts, or bylined articles.
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Experience using Workfront.
  • Experience supporting media relations for executives or spokespeople.
  • Experience working with public relations agencies.

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $60-$80 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
