Work you'll do

We are seeking a Salesforce Architect Contractor to design and implement Salesforce solutions that meet business needs and align with enterprise architectural standards, while also driving quality through strong Salesforce QA and test automation practices. This role will define interaction requirements across components, subsystems, and interfaces; provide strategic guidance for development and production fixes; and partner with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. The contractor will also help establish and maintain automated testing coverage across UI, APIs, and data validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with enterprise standards
  • Define interaction requirements for components, subsystems, and interfaces within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Provide strategic direction for Salesforce development efforts and production issue remediation
  • Ensure alignment of business requirements and technology designs (end-to-end traceability)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define vision, requirements, milestones, and delivery outcomes
  • Create and maintain solution documentation (technical specs, design docs, integration and interface details)
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for Salesforce (UI, APIs, and regression)
  • Validate Salesforce data and business processes using SOQL and test assertions
  • Support CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and release quality gates (e.g., Jenkins, Git workflows)
  • Read and troubleshoot issues across Apex/LWC/Flows and integration points to accelerate defect resolution

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3–6 years of QA experience, including 2+ years of Salesforce test automation
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, including data model, Apex, LWC, Flows, and Process Builder
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Cucumber, Karate, Selenium WebDriver, or similar
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, or Python)
  • Experience testing Salesforce REST and SOAP APIs
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Xray) and Salesforce test automation frameworks
  • Working knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and/or other CI/CD tools
  • Experience writing SOQL queries for test validation and troubleshooting
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $ 50 - $60 per hour. The exact pay rate    will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
