As a Salesforce Developer Contractor, you will design and implement Salesforce solutions that meet business needs and align with enterprise architectural standards. You will provide hands-on technical leadership across development, integrations, production support, and continuous improvement, collaborating closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions aligned to architectural and enterprise standards.
- Define interaction requirements for Salesforce components, subsystems, and interfaces across the ecosystem.
- Provide strategic technical direction for Salesforce development and production fixes (triage, root cause, remediation).
- Ensure end-to-end alignment of business requirements and technology design (data, security, integration, UX).
- Partner with stakeholders to define solution vision, refine requirements, and drive delivery commitments.
- Build reusable modules/components and establish consistent engineering patterns and coding frameworks.
- Implement and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
- Drive operational efficiencies through code refactoring, continuous improvement, and development best practices.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, retros) and contribute to team decisions.
- Create and maintain documentation (technical specifications, solution designs, interface/integration docs, runbooks).
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Salesforce platform experience (preferred).
- Strong hands-on experience in application design and software development.
- Proficiency in building reusable Salesforce software modules/components.
- Strong understanding of:
- Object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- Data modeling: relationships, object modeling, and schema design
- Salesforce security: data security, sharing model, Apex security patterns
- Apex development and secure coding practices
- Lightning development (Aura/LWC as applicable)
- Low-code/admin capabilities (validation rules, flows, process automation)
- Ability to analyze business requirements and produce implementation plans at varying levels of scope/complexity.
- Ability to make implementation decisions and execute with minimal to no supervision.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $ 50 - $60 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
