Service Modernization solutions help enterprises transform themselves for a machine-centric world by modernizing the experiences and interactions that they have with their customers while also optimizing and automating their operations. 

The first industry vertical that the program addresses is Grocery. In support of this program, we are looking for a Contract Product Marketing Director.  

Overview

The Contractor in this role will be responsible for developing the value proposition, competitive positioning, battle cards, pricing, and ecosystem strategy and plan – all in support of a successful launch and scale-up of a breakthrough offering.  The individual joins a team of other professionals developing this new offering.  This individual must simultaneously traverse hands-on execution and strategic planning during the pre-launch phase of the project.

Responsibilities

1. Value Proposition

  • Conduct research on buyer.
  • Using the research, articulate the benefits of the overall Service Modernization solution for the various stakeholders within Grocery.

2. Competitive Positioning

·       Perform a detailed analysis of the technology and service players within Grocery.

·       Create a comprehensive competitive positioning for Service Modernization.

·       Develop battle cards.


3. Ecosystem strategy and plan

·       Develop a detailed ecosystem strategy covering go-to-market vendors (for market activation) and technology vendors (fulfill a gap and/or roadmap capability).

·       Detail an execution plan.

4. Sales materials and while papers

·       Work with the marketing team to develop sales materials (customer presentation decks) and white papers that describe the solution.

5. Pricing

·       Participate in coming up with a value-based pricing approach for the solution.

Qualifications

·       10+ years B2B product marketing experience in Retail industry; experience in Grocery industry preferred.

·       Experienced and conversant with digital transformation and related technologies (AI, cloud, data/analytics, automation, etc.)

·       Bachelor’s degree in engineering; MBA degree a plus.
